Our hotel is greatly located in Fort Lauderdale central beach district, just a short walk from the beach where you can enjoy the ocean and find many restaurants and bars both day-time and night-time with nightlife live entertainment.
The hotel was originally built in the 1950s, and until 2019 operated under the name Coral Cay Resort. In 2019, the hotel was acquired by the family owned Contentus group – who owns and manages real estate in Sweden and Florida.
In 2020, we upgraded 12 rooms and suites with new interior painting, new flooring and flooring in living areas and completely new furniture. These 12 upgraded rooms are the only ones we currently operate. The remaining 14 rooms will be upgraded during a bigger renovation that will start in the summer 2022, see below.
Notice of renovation:
We will begin renovation of 14 rooms, located in our building at 701 Orton Ave, in June 2022. After the renovation, these rooms will have a high-end contemporary standard and be as completely new, with new bathrooms, new kitchenettes (in select units), new central AC, new windows and doors, new flooring and new furniture.
The renovation of these rooms will occur during daytime only. We will operate the 12 rooms that got a lighter upgrade in 2020 during the renovation of the other 14 rooms. Since there will be some disturbances due to the renovation, we have already lowered our rates by 10% as a compensation for this. We thank you for your understanding and will make our best for you to enjoy our hotel, both during the renovation, and after when the rooms have been newly renovated!
